Instructions for Lithium Battery TX Charging/Handling Principles
Caution!!!
Only use HT100 series battery charger for charging these Lithium
batteries. Using any other charger will void the warranty and may cause the
battery harm!
Directions on use -
HT100 & HT110 Plug charger into
charging jack for minimum of 2-3hrs, if battery is only slightly used,
charge time will be less. It’s ok to let charge over-night. Lithium
batteries have no memory, so you can charge them as often as you like. You can monitor the
charging process looking at the led on the charger red is charging, green is
done.
HT150 Balance Charger - Plug balance charge plug into correct port on
charger. Set current adjust at 1C ie, HT200 1A, HT220 1.5A, HT300 series 1A,
HT500 2A. Corresponding lights will turn red. When all lights are green,
charge is done.
Caution!!!!
Do not let the battery voltage drop below 3V per cell, if you do, the battery may not
be able to be recharged. This is a characteristic of Lithium batteries. The
TX pack is considered dead under 10V. Most radio systems will start beeping
at the lower 9V areas. If you are racing and the radio starts beeping, you
have less than a minute to change/charge your battery or your radio will
shut off. When the battery reaches 9.8V and lower it will dump very fast (in seconds). Therefore
it is recommended to charge the battery before then.
The more often you
charge the battery, the more cycles/life you will get. It is recommended
that you charge once per race day or weekend.
This is a very simple
battery/charging setup and if used properly and not abused you will get
hundreds of charge cycles.
